Mr. Rodriguez is a graduate of the City University of New York, Lehman College, with a B.A. in Political Science and English Literature. Mr. Rodriguez is a former Police Officer and Deputized United States Drug Enforcement Agent. Mr. Rodriguez obtained a J.D. from New York Law School and is admitted to practice in NY. While in law school, Mr. Rodriguez worked with the Court Advocate Project, where he assisted victims of domestic violence in court proceedings; the Criminal Justice Seminar, in conjunction with a local District Attorney’s Office; and was awarded the highest scoring advocate at the NYLS Intramural Trial Competition.
Prior to law school, Mr. Rodriguez worked in law enforcement and conducted investigations on the local, state and federal level that included homicide, money laundering and international narcotics cases. After law school, he worked as a Prosecuting Attorney for the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission and an Immigration Attorney representing families and children facing deportation before the United States Immigration Tribunal.
Mr. Rodriguez has always devoted much of his time to assisting those who are less fortunate. Throughout his career, working cases on behalf of immigrants, developmentally delayed children, child abuse and domestic violence victims, has shaped his course of service to others. He also currently volunteers with the Cristian Rivera Foundation, working to find a cure for DIPG, a rare fatal brain tumor in young children.
Mr. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish, was born and raised in the Bronx and now resides in Westchester county.
